Beril, een kleurloos mineraal, werd in de middeleeuwen gebruikt om na het slijpen het zicht te verbeteren. Dit was een opmerkelijke ontdekking, aangezien het aantoonde dat mensen in die tijd al bezig waren met het zoeken naar oplossingen om hun zicht te verbeteren.<\/p>\n
Het gebruik van Beril als hulpmiddel om het zicht te verbeteren suggereert dat er in de middeleeuwen al sprake was van visuele problemen bij mensen. Het is fascinerend om te bedenken hoe ze in die tijd omgingen met deze problemen en hoe ze op de hoogte waren van de potenti\u00eble voordelen van Beril.<\/p>\n
Het logo van BeRIL by Jill is gebaseerd op de allereerste bril die teruggevonden is uit het jaar 1285.
